Local pub just got better for our glampers

For those who put ‘walking distance to a pub’ in the search bar when choosing a minibreak, our Shepherd’s Hut just got even more attractive.

We are incredibly fortunate to have a Michelin Guide pub just a two minute walk from our Glamping accommodation. Sometimes a 10 minute walk back, the difference is staggering 😉

The White Horse is owned by Richard and Rebecca Robinson who moved from London in 2012. Villagers were overjoyed by their arrival, especially after tasting Richard’s cuisine. He’d previously worked in the OXO Tower in London. It’s simply divine!

It’s difficult to choose from their menu. The most popular meal has proved to be their Sunday roast sharing board. They are very often fully booked on a Sunday even with offering a take away option.

THE BEST ANNOUNCEMENT came last week when Rebecca and Richard declared the Sharing Board is now available at ALL their sittings. They clearly decided the Roast is not just for Sundays!

We cannot recommend this meal highly enough. We’ve always recommended The White Horse to our guests, not only due to its close proximity to our glamping accommodation but also for their fantastic food.

The staff are accustomed to serving those staying at Esme’s Escape shepherds hut, and know that the food will be digested during a long soak in the log fired hot tub.

Our two businesses really do make the perfect combination for a romantic getaway.
